Dr. Bharath Reddy is the Director and CEO of Shishuka Children’s Hospital, Bangalore, and a specialist in Pediatric Pulmonology, Allergy, and Sleep Medicine. He completed his MD in Pediatrics from the renowned Indira Gandhi Institute of Child Health (IGICH), Bangalore, and went on to pursue a Fellowship in Pediatric Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine at the National University Hospital (NUH), Singapore.
Dr. Bharath Reddy is also certified by the European Respiratory Society (ERS) with a Diplomate in Pediatric Respiratory Medicine. He currently serves as the Course Director for the Diploma in Pediatric Sleep Medicine (DPSM) at the University of Colorado and the Fellowship in Pediatric Pulmonology by the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP). His research has been widely published in national and international scientific journals. Dr. Bharath Reddy is highly regarded for his dedication to improving pediatric respiratory and sleep health.
My Skillset
Pediatric Respiratory Disorders:
Diagnosing and treating diseases and conditions related to the respiratory system, such as asthma, chronic lung diseases, bronchiectasis and tuberculosis.
Pediatric Sleep Medicine:
Treating sleep issues in children including sleep- related breathing disorders like sleep apnea. He specialises in offering sleep studies to evaluate patients’ sleep patterns.
Lung Function Testing:
Conducting and interpreting tests like spirometry and oscillometry to assess lung function and diagnose respiratory disorders.
Critical Care:
Managing patients with severe respiratory illnesses in intensive care settings, including the use of mechanical ventilation.
Allergy Testing:
To evaluate the cause of allergy in children with allergic conditions like asthma and allergic rhinitis
Bronchoscopy:
To perform airway endoscopy procedures using a Pediatric bronchoscope
