Dr. Naveen D. Kini’s journey in academics began in Bangalore, where he completed his schooling and pre-university studies. He earned his MBBS degree from the Government Medical College, Bellary (now VIMS Bellary) in 1989. Driven by a passion for child health and well-being, he pursued postgraduate specialization in Pediatrics at Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, where he earned his MD in 1993. Further honing his expertise, Dr. Kini completed his DNB (Diplomate of National Board) in Pediatrics through the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi in 1995. Concerned about the explosion of Non Communicable Diseases (NCDs) like obesity, hypertension and diabetes in adolescents and young adults, he has recently qualified as a Lifestyle Medicine Physician, completing a PG Diploma in Lifestyle Medicine from the prestigious Christian Medical College, Vellore in 2025.
